Sign up at Janusz Casino and you see balances in pounds, deposit options such as PayPal and Visa or Mastercard debit, and a lobby split into slots, table games and live dealer rooms. Everything runs in your browser, so you skip downloads on desktop and mobile.
I spent a week in the Janusz Casino online casino lobby, on my phone on the train and on a laptop at home. Slots loaded in a couple of seconds, live tables held a steady stream on 4G, and the cashier showed every fee in pounds before I confirmed anything.
The slot library runs to hundreds of titles from providers you recognise. Rainbow Riches sits near Starburst, Big Bass Bonanza and Bonanza Megaways, and you can filter by provider, feature or theme if you want something specific. Each game's info panel lists its RTP. I check it before I stake anything, because the same slot can run at different RTPs on different sites.
UKGC rules shape how you play. Autoplay and turbo spins are banned, each spin takes at least 2.5 seconds, and the maximum stake is £5 a spin if you are 25 or over and £2 if you are 18 to 24. All UKGC licensees follow these limits, and Janusz Casino is no exception.
Blackjack, European roulette, baccarat and video poker such as Jacks or Better fill the table games section. A random number generator decides each hand and spin, and the rules and paytable sit one click from the table. I stuck with European roulette, which has a single zero and a 2.7% house edge, against 5.26% on the American double-zero wheel.
Live rooms stream from studios with real dealers, and Evolution supplies the headline titles: Lightning Roulette, Infinite Blackjack and Crazy Time. You type to the dealer in the chat box and track your session in the bet history. Crazy Time suits a loud, loose evening. Blackjack suits you if you want the maths on your side, since basic strategy cuts the house edge to 0.5% or less.
Janusz Casino UK accounts run in pounds, which removes currency conversion fees. You can deposit with PayPal, a Visa or Mastercard debit card, Open Banking through Faster Payments, or Pay by Phone. The UKGC banned credit cards for gambling in April 2020, so a credit card will not work here or at any other licensed site. Pay by Phone deposits carry a daily cap of £30, which suits small top-ups.
Withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with. PayPal payouts reached me the day after approval, and debit card payouts take one to three business days. Janusz Casino requires ID and proof of address before your first withdrawal. Upload your passport or driving licence and a recent utility bill when you register and you skip the wait.
Read the wagering requirement before you click claim. A £20 bonus with 10x wagering means you stake £200 before you withdraw. At 35x, the same bonus means £700. The multiplier, the maximum bet while the bonus is active and the list of excluded games decide whether an offer pays off, and Janusz Casino lists all three on each offer's terms page. If the numbers look heavy, play with your own cash and skip the bonus.
Janusz Casino holds a UKGC licence for British accounts. Find the licence number in the site footer and check it on the UKGC public register before you deposit. It takes two minutes.
Responsible gambling tools sit in your account settings: deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and reality checks. Janusz Casino takes part in GamStop, so one registration blocks every UKGC licensed site for six months, one year or five years. BeGambleAware runs a free helpline on 0808 8020 133 if gambling stops feeling like fun. Set a deposit limit before your first spin. I set £50 a week and have not hit it.
Janusz Casino suits you if you want a plain lobby, a cashier that shows fees in pounds and bonus terms you can read in one sitting. It suits you less if you chase large bonuses with no strings. In my Janusz Casino review notes, the cashier and the safety tools score highest, and the bonus terms need a careful read.
Start with a £10 or £20 deposit, play a few sessions, and request a small withdrawal to test the cashier yourself.
